OB and Point Loma house tons of independent restaurants, best part is they are mostly owned by residents that pride themselves in having local's spots that overdeliver. 

Here are my top 10 picks in no particular order...

1.  OB Noodle House- Pho and more...try the wings and the peanut butter whiskey shot!

2.  La Dona- Upscale Mexican, unique menu and an extensive tequila selection for you connoisseurs!

3.  Volare Italian- Real Italian food, great wine menu, and pasta made from scratch made...need I say more?

4. Supannee - Thai food that is as pretty as it is delicious as it is beautiful, check out their amazing lunch specials for a deal!

5. Hodad's - It may mean to be posing as a surfer, but the burgers aren't fakes, their shakes hand made from real ice cream, their steak fries are fresh and delicious, and the bill won't leave you broke so you can make it to happy hour after.

6. Mitch's Seafood - on the water, watch the fishermen come in with their daily catches, and if you like fish tacos and beer... you are at the right place!

7. Point Loma Seafood - the fish is literally pulled out of the water right in front of the restaurant... needless to say fresh fish!  It's a market and restaurant, super casual, and has plenty of outdoor seating.

8.  The Joint - In the heart of OB, a creative menu featuring sushi and tapas.  Check out their happy hour menu too!

9. Harbor Town Pub- burgers, decadent salads, and beer in a casual pub-style atmosphere. Great for lunch or dinner.

10.  Little Lion Cafe - Quaint breakfast or brunch spot on the cliffs in OB.
